SHIPPING AND WARRANTY
POLICIES
TERMS OF PAYMENT: Money Order or
Cashier's Check are best. Personal checks must clear
bank before shipment. Of course PayPal is much
faster.
PRICING
POLICY: We reserve the right to revise
pricing due to inflation or a fluctuating dollar at any
time.
SHIPPING: We use US Postal Service
- never UPS, First Class mail for items weighing under
13 ounces, Priority Mail for items 14 ounces or more
for domestic US mailing. Overseas orders are
mailed via the US Postal Service, up to 3 pounds, 15
ounces via 1st Class, over 4 pounds via Priority Mail,
unless other arrangements are made.
It is your obligation to make
sure the package is being sent to the right address. We
use your PayPal address unless told otherwise. If
package is returned then buyer to pay additional costs
to get it sent to the correct address. If a
package is lost because the address supplied was
incorrect, we are not responsible for that
loss.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: For
international orders, delivery is via United States
Postal Service Airmail - 1st Class or Priority.
There is no
insurance for delivery via International First Class or
International Priority Mail. Express
Mail must be paid for to have delivery insurance.
Express Mail must be signed for upon delivery, and has
en route tracking available. I will not be
responsible if your customs agent or postal carrier
steals your package of goodies sent via First Class or
Priority Mail.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
QUANTITIES: Large orders for
shipping overseas require Priority postage rates and
in addition there are size limitations for the boxes
used. In addition, the negotiated
overseas postage rates were significantly raised on
Jan. 22, 2012. Orders are restricted to twenty
(20) wicks per individual order so that package size
and weight are limited to keep postage costs as low
as possible. Orders over 20 wicks will be
rejected and must be resubmitted in individual orders
of no more than twenty (20) wicks per individual
order.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
COST: The cost of shipping large
orders internationally may exceed the amount
initially charged by PayPal. In such rare
cases, additional supplemental postage will be
required prior to shipping. I reserve the right
to cancel and refund orders at my option.
WARRANTY: Warranties are as stated
by individual manufacturers.
HEATER IGNITERS: There is no
warranty on igniters. Cheap "I buy local" wicks
have coarse fibers which can tear the ignition coil -
that is why local stores usually do not stock
igniters. Far too many people who order igniters
without wicks have bad electrical connections (or do
not know how to "burn
dry") and blame the igniter, and I cannot
personally inspect your ignition system. Click here to fix your

LAMP CHIMNEYS: There is
no warranty on lamp chimneys.
RETURNS: Damaged or missing items
must be reported within ten days of receipt of order.
Returned merchandise must be properly packaged in an
appropriate container, adequately insured, and
accompanied by a letter including your name and
address. All returns must be authorized by Miles Stair,
and must have a copy of the original sales
invoice.
OVERSEAS ORDERS: Buyers
are responsible for any import fees or duties.
Order size may be limited to a set number of wicks per
order to more closely correspond with postage costs,
particularly with new customers. We reserve the
right to cancel any order for any reason, capricious or
not.
A 20%
RESTOCKING FEE OF ITEM COST MAY BE CHARGED
FOR ANY RETURNED ITEMS TO RECOVER MY COSTS FROM PAYPAL
CHARGES AND SHIPPING COSTS. THE POSTAGE
WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IN ANY CASE, AS I HAVE ALREADY
PAID THAT ONCE.
NOTICE: Miles Stair shall
not be liable for any injury or damage, direct or
consequential, relating to the misuse or inability to
use our products, including but not limited to wicks,
writings, booklets, book, CD's, website, LED
flashlights, radios, razor knives, tools or about
anything else.
