K20, CR15 heaters: Wicks #8A and
#8 are NOT interchangeable. If the heater does not have a wick
which can be examined, you will have to look at the wick
sleeve. In the interior surface of the wick sleeve is smooth and
has three equidistant holes, it is made for the pinned wick #8A.
If the inside of the wick sleeve has a bunch of triangular-pointed
barbs to hold the wick in place, it was made for wick #8. They are
actually two quite different heaters sold with the same model
number! (See the difference in wick sleeves
here.)
